“Great for structured Notes but Limited Customization”

There are some good text formatting choices available on Samsung Notes. I can keep my notes nice and organized by using bold, italics, and bullet points with ease. I miss some of the customization options for my settings in other applications.

Pros : I like how it offers a variety of text formatting. I can access bold, italics, bullets, and checklists to help my notes get structured.

Cons : It is not as customizable as other apps. Not much room to customize settings and layouts as I would like, especially large content.

Switched from : Noteshelf

Reason to switch : Noteshelf had a lot of customization, but I found it a bit too much for my needs. Samsung offered what I really wanted.

“Great for Offline Use but No Web Access”

The fact that Samsung Notes can make and access notes without an internet connection is great. When I am on the run and do not want to worry about being online, it is ideal. The no web access makes it harder to share files and access it in other devices.

Pros : It does not require an active internet connection. You can create notes on the go and do not have to be connected.

Cons : There is no web access for Samsung Notes. This is annoying since I need to access my notes from a non-Samsung device.

Switched from : Passfindr

Reason to switch : I wanted a solution that was more reliable for offline use. Passfindr required an internet connection to work properly and that was inconvenient.

“Perfect for Everyday Use”

Since I started using Samsung Notes, I can honestly say that it has simplified the process of taking notes. I can pick up my notes where I left off on any device thanks to the excellent syncing between my laptop, tablet, and phone.

Pros : It easily syncs between my phone, tablet, and laptop. It is perfect when I want to pick up where I left off on other devices.

Cons : It is not featuring rich as other dedicated applications. It lacks advanced features like deep tagging and organization tools.

Switched from : Evernote

Reason to switch : I moved to Samsung Notes from Evernote since I wanted something simpler and streamlined.

“Quick and Convenient but Can Lag with Larger Notes”

Writing down a fast idea is quite simple with Samsung Notes. Using a shortcut on my phone to quickly add a note without opening the app is something I adore. It is excellent for quickly recording ideas. It however slows down when I add many large notes and content.

Pros : It is easy to jot down a quick idea or note. I can use a shortcut from my phone and do it directly.

Cons : App slows down with larger notes. When I take too many multimedia photos and long notes, the app starts to lag a little.

“Great Organizer but Exporting Notes is a Challenge”

Keeping my notes organized has been made much easier using Samsung Notes. Finding what I am looking for is faster because I can easily organize everything into folders.

Pros : I like how I can easily create folders and keep my notes organized. It made it much easier to find things than just scrolling through notes.

Cons : It offers limited export options. Certain formats such as .docx or .txt cannot be exported so easily.

Switched from : Google Keep

Reason to switch : Google Keep was good for quick notes, but I had trouble keeping everything in order. Samsung Notes was better for the organization.

“Great for Quick Notes but Syncing Can Be a Hassle”

I have enjoyed the handwriting recognition feature of my Samsung Notes for a while now. I save a lot of time when I handwrite since it converts my notes into text with accuracy. It is an easy-to-use tool that helps me organize my thoughts and take brief notes.

Pros : The handwriting recognition is pretty accurate. I write with my stylus and Samsung Notes converts it into text.

Cons : It sometimes has syncing issues and takes longer than expected to sync across devices. It is annoying when I want something fast.

Switched from : Microsoft OneNote

Reason to switch : I needed something which was more focused on simplicity. OneNote was a bit too complex for me.

“Great Integration but Not Ideal for Collaboration”

The Samsung Notes is useful for a variety of tasks because it integrates seamlessly with both Samsung and third-party apps. Whether I am using my tablet or phone. It is not the best when it comes to sharing notes or collaborating with others.

Pros : I like how it integrates perfectly with other Samsung apps and even third-party apps; this makes it versatile.

Cons : Collaboration is not the best since I cannot share and edit my notes in real-time with my friends and coworkers.

Reason to switch : Squid was great for writing but I wanted something which worked better with other apps and my devices.

“Good Choice for Multimedia Notes but Search Needs Work”

Adding various kinds of media to my notes using Samsung Notes is great. It is flexible for a variety of tasks because I can effortlessly incorporate pictures, audio recordings, and even movies. That said the search feature could use an upgrade.

Pros : I like how it has multimedia support. I can add images, voice recordings, and even videos to my notes.

Cons : The search feature is clunky and slow. It is not always the smoothest option when searching for something specific.

Switched from : Fossify Notes

Reason to switch : Fossify was fine but it did not offer as many options for adding multimedia content.

“Simple but Not Ideal for Drawing”

I like how easy it is to start writing down my ideas just by opening the app. Everything seems intuitive, and it is ideal for taking little notes. The drawing tools however are not advanced.

Pros : I like how it has a clean interface. It is simple and I can just open the app and start jotting down notes.

Cons : The drawing tools are limited. They are not as robust as other note apps that focus on art and sketching.

Switched from : Saber

Reason to switch : Saber had nice drawing features but it was too complex for what I needed.

“Fun Customization but Limited to Samsung Devices”

The ability to personalize the style and appearance of my notes is something I like. It adds a personal touch, and occasionally changing things up is enjoyable. It gives the app a more personal feel. However, it is a bit restrictive if you do not use Samsung products.

Pros : Samsung Notes allows me to change the theme and look of the notes which is fun.

Cons : It is only operational with the Samsung ecosystem. If you use other brands, it is not as easy to move your notes.

Reason to switch : I moved to Samsung Notes from Butterfly since I was looking for better integration with my other Samsung devices.
