“Detailed Reports but Limited File Support”

PlagTracker offers thorough reports that point out the copied passages and give their source. I would prefer if it supported more file kinds. For me, the fact that it only supports PDF and DOCX feels a little restrictive.

Pros : I like that it provides detailed reports as it highlights the plagiarized parts and show where the content was taken from.

Cons : It does not support as many file types as I like. It only supports PDF and DOCX but not others.

Switched from : Quetext

Reason to switch : Quetext was good but it had trouble with large documents and PlagTracker did not.

“Great for Educational Use but Needs Offline Access”

Both teachers and students can benefit from PlagTracker. It is great at identifying unintentional plagiarism, making it ideal for use in teaching. Its requirement for an internet connection can be restrictive.

Pros : If you are a student or a teacher, it is useful for catching accidental plagiarism which becomes perfect for educational use.

Cons : It requires internet to use it. If there is no Wi-Fi then there is no PlagTracker. Offline functionality would have been nice.

Switched from : Copyscape

Reason to switch : Copyscape was more focused on web content and did not offer the same level of intuitive features for educational purpose.

“Secure but Design Needs Updating”

Because PlagTracker does not store or misuse my documents, I feel secure uploading them. Knowing that my work is safe is a comfort. That said, the design is simple and seems a little out of date.

Pros : I feel safe uploading my documents since I know that PlagTracker would not store of misuse my documents.

Cons : For me personally the design feels outdated and might look a bit too plain. However, the interface works fine.

Switched from : Viper Plagiarism Checker

Reason to switch : Vipers interface felt too slow for me, and I wanted better security features with plain design. PlagTracker was perfect for that.

“Good for Quick Plagiarism Checks but Could Be Better”

PlagTracker rapidly examines my text for plagiarism after I upload it. But the free version felt restrictive, and I frequently needed to perform several checks before I felt secure.

Pros : I found simple and easy to navigate since I just must upload my text. You do not have to be tech savvy to use it.

Cons : I felt constrained while using free version. It is basic and was only good for quick checks.

Switched from : CopyLeaks

Reason to switch : I switched to PlagTracker since Copyleaks felt too complicated for my needs.

“Simple Design but Missing Real-Time Editing”

I like PlagTracker's user-friendly and clean design when I merely need to finish a task fast. However, since I am unable to resolve problems immediately on the platform, I wish it had a real-time editing capability.

Pros : The design is not overwhelming. It is simple and straight to the point.

Cons : I wish it had real-time editing feature. You cannot fix the issue directly on the platform.

Reason to switch : Plagium interface was too complicated, and I wanted something simpler and cleaner.

“Great for Multilingual Checks but the Premium Push is Annoying”

When I am working on content in both French and English, it is beneficial. But it becomes a little annoying that they are pressuring me to upgrade to the premium version.

Pros : It supports multiple languages which is great if you are writing more than one language. It works for English, French, German and a lot more.

Cons : I feel like they really push me to upgrade to the premium version which can be annoying.

Switched from : PlagScan

Reason to switch : I wanted something that was versatile for my multilingual projects and PlagTracker did just that.

“Convenient Online Tool but Not as Comprehensive”

PlagTracker's online nature, which eliminates the need for downloads, is great. However, I would not trust on it for significant work because it's not as complete as some of the larger apps like Grammarly or Turnitin.

Pros : Since it is online based there is no need to download anything which is perfect for people who want to save space in their devices.

Cons : It is good but it is not as comprehensive as big players such as Grammarly and Turnitin.

Switched from : Unicheck

Reason to switch : Unicheck was too complicated and slow for my needs, PlagTracker was quicker and easier to use.

“Fast Results but Could Be More Accurate”

I saved a great deal of time because I never had to wait long to find out if my work was original. I would not fully rely on it for certain tasks, as I have found that it occasionally misses a few matches.

Pros : You can get your results quick. I did not have to wait forever to see if my text is clean and original.

Cons : I feel like the accuracy could be better as it sometimes misses a few matches. I would not rely on it completely.

Switched from : PaperRater

Reason to switch : PaperRater felt slow and outdated. I wanted something faster and easier to use.

“Decent Free Option but the Ads Can Be Distracting”

I like that there is no learning curve and that they provide a free version. It can be annoying, though, because the advertisements in the free plan are interruptive and appear far too frequently.

Pros : I like how they offer a free version which is decent. If you need a quick check, it gets the job done.

Cons : The free plan has a lot of ads and they are annoying as they pop up quite often when I use it.

Reason to switch : I switched to PlagTracker because Grammarly’s plagiarism checker required a premium subscription.

“Affordable Premium Plan but No Mobile App”

PlagTracker's premium plan is reasonably priced and it has some helpful capabilities that really help in plagiarism detection. It is browser-based, so it is not as convenient when I am not near my laptop, but I wish they had a dedicated mobile app.

Pros : The premium plan is affordable and offers decent advanced features. The premium plan will not break the bank.

Cons : I wish they had a dedicated mobile app so I could have used it on the go, but it is browser based.

Reason to switch : Duplichecker was good but PlagTracker’s affordable pricing and features made it a better option for me.
