“Perfect for Math, but Stylus is a Must”

Nebo converts everything perfectly, and I can write equations and generate graphs. The drawback is that it does not seem fluid without a stylus; using your fingers is not the same.

Pros : It works will when you are trying to do calculations as well. You can draw a graph and write an equation. Nebo recognizes it and converts it.

Cons : For people who do not own a stylus it can be annoying since using fingers do not really have that magic it is known for.

Reason to switch : ClickUp was not built for handling equations or graphs. I wanted a more math-friendly notetaking software.

“My Go-To for Creative Notetaking”

Nebo is great for structuring my ideas. My notes are active and simple to review because I can combine text, diagrams, and doodling in one place. Although it is easy to use, I wish it had additional cloud backup choices.

Pros : It is great for notetaking as well. You can Doodle, make diagrams, and text all in one place.

Cons : There are no cloud backup options expect MyScript. You cannot save directly to Google Drive or OneDrive.

Switched from : Microsoft Journal

Reason to switch : Microsoft Journal was too limited for mixing text with drawing and graphs. Nebo gave me more freedom that way.

“The Notetaking App I Did not Know I Needed”

It really changed the way I take notes. Even my scribbles are converted into legible text thanks to the handwriting recognition! The main drawback is that not all devices can use it, therefore you will need a suitable gadget to use it.

Pros : It has a very intuitive handwriting recognition. You can scribble all you want, and it will it recognize it. Messy handwriting? No problem.

Cons : It is not everywhere. So, if your device is not compatible you cannot use it.

Switched from : Brill

Reason to switch : I moved to Nebo since Brill just could not manage handwritten notes as well as Nebo.

“Customizable Tools but Export Needs Work”

I like how Nebo allows me to personalize notetaking by allowing me to tweak tools like the pen, highlighter, and eraser. The only issue is that when exporting notes, the formatting varies slightly when transferring them to different devices.

Pros : Most of the tools are customizable, be it a pen, highlighter, and eraser. All of these are customizable variables.

Cons : It has export issues sometimes. Formatting can get weird when you move notes elsewhere.

Switched from : Apple Notes

Reason to switch : Apple Notes felt too basic and did not have many customization options available.

“AI Tools but Takes Time to Master”

Concepts can be understood and assessed with the help of the Summarize, Explain, and Chat capabilities. While the fundamentals were simple to learn, it took me some time to fully grasp the more complex aspects.

Pros : Nebo has good AI tools. Which include AI Summarize, Explain and Chat which can summarize content, explain concepts, and assess knowledge.

Cons : There is quite a learning curve for advanced features. While the basic use is easy, it can take time to properly master the craft.

Switched from : GoodNotes

Reason to switch : I wanted something that would help me summarize and explain my notes and Nebo’s tools were exactly what I needed.

“Dependable Offline but Handwriting Could Be Better”

When I am not using Wi-Fi, Nebo still works, and I like that it functions offline. However, it occasionally has trouble identifying what I have written when my handwriting becomes sloppy.

Pros : There is offline usage which is dependable. No Wi-Fi no problem. Nebo still functions properly without it.

Cons : The handwriting has its limits as sometimes I have cold hands and messy handwriting, so it does not work as well.

Switched from : Notein

Reason to switch : I wanted a solution which was dependable for offline notetaking. Nebo fit that role better than Notein.

“Organized but Needs a Dark Mode”

Nebo is well-organized; everything is kept tidy and accessible thanks to the notebooks and categories. However, the absence of a dark mode can be a little hard on the eyes if you are a night owl like me.

Pros : It has one of the cleanest organizations I could find. The notebooks and sections kept my work neat and tidy.

Cons : For people who like to note take at night, it might be too bright. As it provides no dark mode capabilities.

Reason to switch : CollaNote personally felt too cluttered, and I wanted something cleaner to organize my notes.

“Great for Syncing but Pricey”

I like how Nebo syncs all my notes across my phone and tablet. It is practical to have access to them from wherever. The fact that it is not free and that some of the extra features can make it seem a little pricy is sad.

Pros : It can sync across all my devices. I use Nebo on my tablet and phone. My notes are always coordinated.

Cons : It is a little pricey for some features. The app is not free and extras can add up and make it pricey.

Switched from : Flexcil

Reason to switch : I moved from Flexcil since the syncing was not smooth and I wanted a tool that kept my notes in synced with all my devices.

“Flexible Exporting but Solo Focused”

The ease with which notes may be exported from Nebo in Word, PDF, or raw text is great. Although it is fantastic for working alone, I do miss being able to share or modify notes with others.

Pros : Exports to everything PDF, Word, and even raw text.

Cons : It is not the best for collaboration as there is no sharing and real-time editing with colleagues and friends.

Switched from : ThinkSpace

Reason to switch : I moved to Nebo because ThinkSpace did not offer enough export options.

“Good for Multilingual Users but Limited Formatting.”

It manages the many languages I use quite effectively. It cannot match programs like Word or Google Docs, so it is not the best option if you require sophisticated formatting.

Pros : It manages a lot of languages well. It supports multiple languages not just English, so it is good for foreign users.

Cons : It has incredibly low formatting options which is not comparable to Word or Google Docs.

Reason to switch : Nebo made it much easier to take notes in different languages effortlessly.
