“Perfect for Office Users but Needs Dark Mode”

OneNote's integration with Word, Excel, and other Office applications makes my work life a breeze. The only drawback is that earlier versions do not support dark mode, which is unfortunate for someone who enjoys dark mode.

Pros : Since I use a lot of Word, Excel, and other Office applications. The integration with OneNote makes everything seamless.

Cons : It does not offer any dark mode in older versions. I have an old laptop which only supports old versions of OneNote. I like using things in dark mode and it does not allow that.

Reason to switch : Goodnotes did not provide good integration with Microsoft Office for my projects.

“Great for Team Collaboration but Tags Need Work”

We can all edit and add to the same notebook in real time, OneNote makes working with my team simple. The tagging option is the drawback; it is clunky and might be much more user-friendly.

Pros : It made collaboration easier as I could share notebooks with my team or friends easily. We could all edit and add stuff in real time.

Cons : The tags could have been more useful. The tagging feature feels a bit clunky and limited. It could use an update to make it more intuitive.

Reason to switch : Milanote did not suit my requirement s as I wanted a tool that was better fir real time collaboration with my team.

“My Digital Notebook for Everything”

OneNote is the balance of work and play. I can use my stylus to make quick notes and even draw when I am bored. Better export choices would be my wish because saving notes as PDFs or other formats is not the simplest.

Pros : It is like having a digital notebook for both work and play. I can write down quick notes with my stylus and doodle when I am bored during meetings.

Cons : It has limited export options and not very flexible. It would be nice if I could easily save stuff as PDFs or other formats.

Switched from : Otter.ai

Reason to switch : I moved from Otter.ai since I wanted more than just transcription. OneNote is a tool that offered more features and fits my requirements.

Switching between my laptop, phone, and tablet is convenient, thanks to OneNote's ability to sync my notes across all devices. Compared to the desktop version, editing on the mobile app can be challenging.

Pros : I like how it offers cross-device synchronization. My notes can effortlessly sync across my laptop, phone, and tablet.

Cons : The mobile app is not as smooth and user-friendly as the PC/ desktop version. Editing is a bit difficult.

Reason to switch : I wanted better integration with my other Microsoft apps and free access to all features without limits.

“My Go-To Digital Notebook”

Microsoft OneNote is like a digital binder that never runs out of space since it allows me to keep organized with many notes, sections, and pages. At first, the UI seemed a little awkward, and took a while to figure it out.

Pros : I like how I can make different notebooks, sections, and pages. I feel like I have a digital binder that cannot run out of space.

Cons : The interface can sometimes feel a little clunky. It can feel overwhelming at first due to its options and tools. It did take me a while to get used to it.

Switched from : Good Workspace

Reason to switch : I moved to OneNote since Good Workspace lacked the flexibility to organize my notes.

“Great for Offline Use but Can Be Slow”

I can access and edit my notes offline; OneNote is great for me when I am out without Wi-Fi. The only drawback is that it might be annoying when I have too many open notebooks because it slows down my computer.

Pros : It provides good offline usage. I do not always have Wi-Fi since I am on the go. OneNote allows me to view and edit my notes offline.

Cons : It does require a bit heavy on system resources. It slows down my computer when I have too many notebooks open at once.

Switched from : Bear

Reason to switch : I moved from Bear since I needed a note-taking app that worked well offline and offered better organizational features.

“Free and Powerful Note-Taking Tool”

It is free and has a ton of functionality. Without having to worry about a membership, I can arrange everything. The only drawback is that my notes use up storage on OneDrive, I will have to upgrade.

Pros : It is free to use which is amazing for all the features it offers. There is no subscription needed unless you want extra OneDrive space.

Cons : The only letdown is that the storage depends on OneDrive storage. If I run out, I need to pay for more space.

Switched from : Notion

Reason to switch : OneNote gave me what I needed. The notion was not free and lacked offline features.

“Flexible and Personal but Not Great with Other Apps”

OneNote allows me to personalize my notes. I can change layouts, add tags, and change page width. Its incompatibility with non-Microsoft apps is a drawback, which can be annoying if you are utilizing other platforms.

Pros : It offers flexibility to adjust page sizes, add tags and customize layouts. This makes it feel more personal.

Cons : It has limited integration outside of Microsoft. If you are using other ecosystems this can be annoying since it does not function well outside of Microsoft.

Reason to switch : Simplenote did not offer more customization options and integration with my other Microsoft apps. OneNote’s flexibility and features suited my style.
