“Good for Gamers but Limited Basic License”

It has a unique Gamer Mode which keeps things smooth while gaming or streaming and the exploit blocker gives it an extra security against ransomware. The only downside is that the basic license does not multiple devices unless I upgrade.

Pros : It includes unique features like Gamer Mode which saves resources while gaming and watching videos. It also has an exploit blocker to detect and defeat ransomware and lock screen attacks.

Cons : There is no multi-device licensing in the basic license without opting for an upgrade.

Reason to switch : Bitdefender felt too heavy on my system during gaming and wanted something that prioritizes performance without compromising security.

“Amazing Threat Detection but Slow Support”

The threat detection on ESET NOD32 is advanced, it proactively scans for any suspicious behavior. That said, their customer support could use some improvement; even with chat and email options, the response time is slower than I would like.

Pros : I love how it has advanced threat detection; it proactively scans for suspicious behavior and makes me feel safer against potential threats.

Cons : Its customer support is not the best and I have experienced slow responses from the customer support. Even though it includes free chat and even email support.

Switched from : CylanceENDPOINT

Reason to switch : CylanceENDPOINT lacked advanced scanning features, and I needed something more secure for detecting threats before they became a problem.

“Customizable and Flexible”

The program really lets me tweak the settings to suit my preferences, it feels like I have full control of my system. The parental controls however are basic which is disappointing since I want to ensure safe browsing for my kids.

Pros : I like how I can easily tweak the settings to my preferences and fit my specific needs, this gives me more control over the solution.

Cons : The parental control features are not as appealing as some of the competitors with is a drawback since I want to restrict un appropriate content for the kids at home.

Switched from : Sophos Intercept X

Reason to switch : I needed something more customizable for personal use, Sophos Intercept X was too focused on enterprise features.

“Great Malware Protection but Settings Could be Simpler”

It made web surfing and routine use feel comfortable and safe with its excellent malware detection. However, for someone who is not tech-savvy like me, I found the advanced settings to be hard to figure out.

Pros : It detects malware so efficiently; I feel confident in web browsing any website since it can catch malware and viruses with ease.

Cons : Personally, being a non-tech-savvy person, the advanced settings were a bit complex. Some of the advanced settings were tricky to configure.

Switched from : CrowdStrike Falcon

Reason to switch : CrowdStrike was more suited for enterprise use, I needed something simpler for my personal computer.

“Accurate but Full Scans Can Lag”

ESET NOD32 rarely gives false positives, this makes me trust it completely even while I am browsing or just working on my computer. It is lightweight most of the time, but I have noticed during full scans it can occasionally slow things down a bit.

Pros : Unlike some of the antivirus software that I have used, it rarely flags safe files as malicious or threatening. It really shows its worth and that I can fully trust it while using the internet or computer.

Cons : Being a lightweight normally, it can sometimes use a noticeable amount of system resources while full scanning.

Switched from : ThreatDown

Reason to switch : ThreatDown gave too many false positives and it was frustrating to keep double-checking safe files and programs. ESET NOD32 offers a smoother experience.

“Quick to Install but Need Better Reports”

It was so quick and easy to install, even for a beginner like me and it was lightweight and did not take up too much space on my computer. While I enjoy using it, I wish it had more detailed reports since I like analyzing the data.

Pros : The installation was fast, and it did not take up a lot of space on my computer. It was easy for a beginner like me to set up.

Cons : For someone who likes to dig into data like me, there is a lack of comprehensive reporting. The reports could have been more detailed.

Switched from : Symantec Endpoint Security

Reason to switch : Symantec was heavy on my system and was not beginner-friendly. I wanted something faster and easier, therefore ESET NOD32 was a better fit.

“Quick and Dependable”

I really appreciate the fast scanning of ESET NOD32. It is perfect for when I am in a rush but still want to stay protected. It is dependable and easy to use, though I wish it had extras like a VPN and a password manager.

Pros : It offers fast scanning, it scans very quickly, which is perfect when I am in a hurry but still want to ensure my system is clean.

Cons : It does not include features like a VPN or any password manager, which I would expect from a modern antivirus program.

Switched from : Trellix Endpoint Security Suite

Reason to switch : I wanted something simpler and which fits my needs better. Trellix was too complicated for my personal use.

“Lightweight and Effective”

It is lightweight and runs quietly in the background and does not really affect my system's performance, yet it keeps my computer safe. I wish however there were a free version just for basic protection, but the performance and ease of use is worth it.

Pros : I noticed that it has an extremely low system impact, as I could barely notice it running in the background. It did not slow down my computer like some other antivirus programs.

Cons : There is no free version, I wish it were there that offered basic features for those who cannot afford the premium one.

Switched from : SentinelOne

Reason to switch : SentinelOne was powerful, but it was too resource-intensive for my needs. I wanted something much simpler and faster.

“Simple Interface but Limited to Windows”

I experienced that the interface is clean and easy to navigate, so I never felt lost while going through the settings. The one downside was that it does not support macOS, which means I would need a different antivirus if I had a Mac.

Pros : The user interface was straightforward and clean, which made it easy for me to navigate between the settings and functionality of the software.

Cons : It unfortunately does not have an antivirus solution for macOS. If I ever switch to a Mac, I will have to look for another software solution.

Switched from : Microsoft Defender

Reason to switch : Microsoft Defender was not catching everything; I wanted stronger malware protection. ESET NOD32 felt more dependable.

“Always Up to Date but Needs Simpler Pricing”

I like how often the antivirus updates; it makes me confident that the software is staying ahead of new threats. The pricing plans however was a bit frustrating since they are not straightforward.

Pros : The frequent updates are nice since they show that the company really cares about the software to make sure that it is always up to date. It can always tackle new threats.

Cons : ESET pricing plans are complicated, I had to do thorough research on which one is right for my devices.

Switched from : Trend Vision One

Reason to switch : I switched from Trend Vision One because it was too focused on business-level features and I needed something more tailored to personal use.
