“Plenty Servers but Pricey for Long Term”

I have been using ClearVPN for some time, it provides a wide selection of servers in various regions. The long-term plans do seem a little pricey to me. The annual subscriptions seem a bit expensive in comparison to some other VPNs.

Pros : Provides with a range of servers. It has several servers in various locations. This gives me lots of options for choosing a server.

Cons : It can be expensive, especially for long-term plans. The monthly subscription is all right by the yearly subscription is on the pricier side.

Switched from : GoodAccess

Reason to switch : Good Access was affordable but it did not give me as much flexibility or the performance I wanted for streaming and browsing.

“Affordable and Easy, but Limited Customization”

ClearVPN offers a very reasonable membership plan, and it delivers excellent value for the money. But I wish there had been more personalization options.

Pros : It provided affordable planning subscriptions. The pricing is reasonable and I found it good for value compared to other VPN providers.

Cons : It lacks customization. I like to customize and have more control over the settings. There are limited options for manual configuration.

Reason to switch : I moved to ClearVPN from SaferVPN since I wanted a more budget-friendly option with solid performance.

“Great Privacy but Random Connection Drops.”

One of my favorite things about ClearVPN, which I have been using for a long, is its privacy features. However, I have occasionally had my connection drops, which can be very unpleasant.

Pros : It has good privacy features. I feel safe and secure that it uses strong encryption and does not log my activity.

Cons : Sometimes the connection drops randomly. It is annoying especially if you are in the middle of something important.

Switched from : UTunnel VPN

Reason to switch : I was looking for a VPN that was better for privacy protection and more reliable encryption.

“Convenient and Easy but Could Use More Server Location”

ClearVPN has been a fantastic option, particularly because of its Smart Connect function. This simplifies the VPN's use. It does not offer as many server locations as some other providers, and I wish it had more in a few regions.

Pros : Its smart connect feature comes in handy when wanting to automatically connect to the best server for my needs. This is convenient for me who does not want to manually choose.

Cons : It offers only a limited amount of server options. While it has a good amount, it still lacks some countries when compared to other VPN providers.

Switched from : Absolute Secure Access

Reason to switch : Absolute Secure Access was too complex and did not have the Smart Connect feature that ClearVPN offers.

“Great Support but Free Features are Limited”

I really liked the customer support team's prompt response and helpfulness whenever I had queries or encountered problems. However, it is not ideal for casual users who like to utilize the free version because most of the features are only available with a paid membership.

Pros : It has great customer support. I have had questions and issues in the past and saw that the customer support team is responsive and helpful.

Cons : It requires a subscription to fully use its features. The valuable features are all locked behind the paid subscription which is bad for casual users.

Switched from : Windscribe

Reason to switch : I moved to ClearVPN from Windscribe since I wanted better support and experience. ClearVPN offered me these features.

“Great for Multi-Device Use but Speeds Vary”

I can use ClearVPN on all my devices with a single account. The transition from my tablet, laptop, and phone is smooth. It can be a little bothersome especially when I am streaming or working online, that I have discovered that the speed decreases when connecting to specific regions.

Pros : I like how I can use ClearVPN across all my devices with just one account. This makes it convenient for me.

Cons : I found out that it is slower in some regions. When I was connecting to certain regions, I noticed that it drops in speed which can be annoying.

Switched from : Check Point Harmony SASE

Reason to switch : Harmony SASE was more suited for business use, ClearVPN gave me flexibility and good personal use.

“Good for Streaming but Device Compatibility Could Be Better”

I adore how ClearVPN enables me to stream my favorite shows from other countries and get around geo-restrictions. It can be annoying at times when I encounter compatibility issues with specific devices and the software does not work as intended.

Pros : I can easily bypass geo-restricted content from different regions. This is great for streaming my shows from different countries.

Cons : I have encountered compatibility problems with a few devices where the app does not work as good as expected.

Switched from : Twingate

Reason to switch : I wanted a VPN that was more suited for streaming and accessing geo-blocked content.

“Fast and Secure but Could Be Better”

I have been using ClearVPN for some time, and I am satisfied with it. The privacy features are strong; I browse with confidence knowing that I am secure. I did not really have time to try everything before I had to commit because the free trial was far too short.

Pros : ClearVPN user interface was clean and intuitive. This made it easier for me to connect to servers without any technical hassles.

Cons : It has a limited free trial which is quite short. I did not have time to test all the features properly.

Switched from : Netgate pfSense

Reason to switch : Netgate pfSense was too complex for me, I wanted something that was easier to use and set up without extra configuration.

“Good Privacy but Not Ideal for Torrenting”

I have whole faith in its privacy features. I trust it to protect my online activity because I checked it for DNS and IP leaks and found none. However, because it lacks servers specifically designed for P2P activity, it is not particularly good for torrenting.

Pros : I have tested the solution had have not experienced any DNS or IP leaks. I completely trust it to protect my online activity.

Cons : I noticed that it is not the best for torrenting. It did not offer any specialized server for P2P activity.

Switched from : NordLayer

Reason to switch : I moved to ClearVPN from NordLayer since I wanted a simpler VPN for personal use.

“Reliable but Lacks Advanced Features”

There are no lags in my browsing experience, even when I connect to servers located on the opposite side of the globe. It lacks some of the features seen in some other VPNs, though.

Pros : It has fast speeds and connections. Even when using servers located far away. It did not slow down my browsing experience.

Cons : It does not have a lot of features like its competitors. It does not provide many advanced features like split tunneling or specialized servers.

Switched from : OpenVPN Access Server

Reason to switch : I moved to ClearVPN from OpenVPN since I needed something that was faster and more reliable.
