“Simple, Fast and Reliable”

After using CactusVPN for some time, I like how quick it is. My favorite shows are easy to stream, and I have never had irksome buffering. However, to give me more choices, I do wish there were more server possibilities.

Pros : The servers are fast. I do not really experience any type of buffering or lag while streaming and browsing.

Cons : It has limited servers. I wish it had a wider range of servers to connect from. It should include more regions from Africa and Asia.

Switched from : Windscribe

Reason to switch : I wanted a more affordable and user-friendly VPN solution than Windscribe. CactusVPN was just that.

“Great Value for the Price but Some Speed Issues”

Pros : It is affordable and fits my budget. I feel like I am getting a lot of value when compared with the prices of other competitors.

Cons : I have experienced the inconsistent speed of servers sometimes. This might be due to some servers being slower than others.

Switched from : Safervpn

Reason to switch : SaferVPN was good, but it felt too expensive for the features I use. Cactus VPN provided me with better value.

“Great Support but Could Improve Payment Options”

CactusVPN's customer service is exceptional. The team always responded quickly and fixed any problems I had. I did wish they took cryptocurrencies so I could make more anonymous payments.

Pros : The customer support for being a smaller company is great. Whenever I had an issue, the support team always responded quickly and resolved my problems.

Cons : There are no payments with cryptocurrency. I wish they accepted Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies for a more anonymous payment option.

Switched from : Netgate pfSense

Reason to switch : I moved from Netgate pfSense to CactusVPN since Netgate pfSense was complex and did not offer everything I needed.

“Easy to Use but Needs Some Improvements”

I like how easy CactusVPN is for beginners. I am not very tech-savvy, but I had no trouble using it or setting it up. But the lack of a kill switch in the mobile app irritates me.

Pros : It has a user-friendly interface. It was easy to use and beginner-friendly. Even for someone who is not tech-savvy like me, I could smoothly navigate.

Cons : There is no kill switch available on mobile devices. This is annoying because you cannot save your data when in trouble.

Switched from : Twingate

Reason to switch : I moved to Cactus VPN because Twingate felt too complicated for me.

“Flexible Protocols but Limited Streaming Options”

I like that CactusVPN allows me to select various protocols, such as OpenVPN, WireGuard, and IKEv2, according to my requirements. I was unhappy to discover that not all streaming services are unblocked.

Pros : I like how I can choose from many protocols. I can choose from protocols like OpenVPN, WireGuard, and IKEv2 depending on my requirements.

Cons : It provided limited streaming options. While the Smart DNS is good. Not all streaming servers are unblocked.

Switched from : NordLayer

Reason to switch : NordLayer was too focused on its business features, which I did not need especially for personal use.

“Secure for Browsing but Not Ideal for Gaming”

CactusVPNs provided robust encryption and good security measures which made me feel secure using the internet. While gaming, I did observe some latency problems.

Pros : It has robust security features. It has good encryption and keeps me secure while I am browsing the internet.

Cons : When I was playing a game, I noticed that it had some latency issues. This is bad when you are having an intense session of gaming.

Switched from : UTunnel VPN

Reason to switch : UTunnelVPN worked okay but it did not feel as user-friendly as CactusVPN.

“Great for Privacy but Lacks Some Features”

The strict no-logs policy of CactusVPN is great. The fact that my internet activities are secure and confidential gives me peace of mind. However, I would have more freedom if they had a dedicated IP option.

Pros : It offers a strict no-logs policy. I like that they do not keep logs. This makes me feel more secure about my privacy.

Cons : There is no dedicated IP option. I wish it had a dedicated IP address. This could make it more flexible.

Switched from : Check Point Harmony SASE

Reason to switch : Check Point Harmony SASE was not good for personal use and was complex. Cactus VPN is simpler and more privacy-focused.

“Great for Streaming but No Trial Period”

The Smart DNS feature is great. It is a safe way to unblock streaming services. I would have liked to assess the VPN more completely before committing if there had been a longer free trial period.

Pros : One of my favorite features of the VPN solution is the Smart DNS Feature. It unblocks streaming services smoothly.

Cons : I do not like how there is no free trial for the VPN. I would have liked a longer trial period so I could test it properly.

Reason to switch : I moved to CactusVPN since I wanted something that focused on personal streaming and privacy which GoodAccess lacked.

“Good for Multiple Devices but a Smaller Provider”

CactusVPN allows me to connect a number of devices, which is ideal for my home. But because it is a smaller business, I question whether they can eventually compete with the larger VPN companies.

Pros : I can connect as many devices as I want. This is great because I live in a household where there are a lot of devices.

Cons : It is a small company. Being a smaller provider, I wonder if they can keep up with its larger competitors.

Reason to switch : I moved to CactusVPN from Absolute Secure Access because I wanted a more affordable and solution that could manage multiple device connections.

“Great for Global Content but Missing Advanced Features”

I like that CactusVPN has servers spread throughout numerous nations. For greater customization possibilities, I would have liked it to include more features like split tunneling or double VPN.

Pros : It provides me with adequate server locations. I like how they offer servers in many countries which makes it easy to access global content.

Cons : It lacked some advanced features. It is missing some advanced VPN features like split tunneling and double VPN.

Switched from : OpenVPN Access Server

Reason to switch : OpenVPN felt technical for my basic use. I wanted a simpler and user-friendly solution and CactusVPN was just that.
