“Excellent Support but Server Quality Needs Improvement”

The round-the-clock customer service provided by Astrill VPN is helpful. I had great faith in their service because the support staff was always ready to assist and promptly fix any problems I encountered. I did notice some irregularities in the server quality. I had to switch servers several times to locate the fastest one because not all of them worked well.

Pros : The software provider offered 24/7 customer support. Whenever I needed help, the support team was always available around the clock. They resolve my issues quite quickly.

Cons : The server quality was inconsistent. I found that not all the servers offered the same level of performance. I had to switch multiple times to get the best speed.

Switched from : UTunnel VPN

Reason to switch : I moved from UTunnel VPN because I was searching for more reliable customer support and a better overall experience which Astrill gave me.

“Great for Torrenting but Streaming Can Be Hit or Miss”

I adore that Astrill VPN allows P2P, which makes torrenting quite simple and safe for me. do not have to worry about any security threats and the speeds are typically good. However, I have encountered some issues with streaming. Certain servers are the only ones that offer streaming services, and I have seen problems where some servers are not functional.

Pros : It offers P2P support. I can torrent on Astrill VPN without any problem and do not have to worry about any security risks. It supports P2P on select servers only.

Cons : You can only access streaming support on certain servers. I have had trouble accessing some streaming servers in certain regions.

Switched from : Windscribe

Reason to switch : I moved to Astrill from Windscribe since I needed a more reliable option for P2P and better overall performance for my activities.

“Split Tunnelling is a Game-Changer but No Free Version”

The split tunneling function of Astrill VPN is good. I can select which traffic or programs use the VPN, and the others can get around it. For business, where I must use both conventional and secure internet simultaneously without any problems. The fact that there is not a free version is the drawback.

Pros : I like that it offers a split tunneling feature. It allows me to direct which apps or traffic can use the VPN. This is such a good feature when at work.

Cons : There is no free version. Unlike some VPN providers, where you can use the VPN and find out its features and functionalities. Astrill does not offer a free version.

Reason to switch : SaferVPN was good, but Astrill had better features that suited my workflow and it was more reliable which suited my needs.

“Great for Multiple Devices but Setup Can Be Tricky”

I deeply appreciate that Astrill VPN lets me connect to five devices simultaneously. It makes sharing a VPN service simple and practical. However, I have encountered problems with servers that need a complex setup. It can be a little confusing, especially for beginners.

Pros : I like how it enables me to connect to multiple devices simultaneously. It supports up to five devices, it is ideal for me and my family to use the VPN since we have multiple devices at home.

Cons : Some servers require a complicated setup. When I connect to certain servers or advanced features require manual setup. This can be confusing for beginners.

Reason to switch : Twingate was not as versatile as Astrill. It was good but Astrill had the ability to support multiple devices at once and its overall ease of use.

“Great Privacy but Can Be Unreliable”

One feature of Astrill VPN that truly sticks out to me after using it for a time is its strict no-logs policy. Knowing that my online activities are not being monitored or saved provides me comfort, which is crucial for my privacy. However, I have experienced a few connection drops particularly while I am working on a crucial project.

Pros : I feel safe and secure knowing that it has a no-logs policy. Astrill VPN has a strict no-logs policy which makes sure that my online activities are not being monitored and stored.

Cons : Sometimes when I use it in intense sessions, I notice that the connection drops. This is frustrating since it can happen at any time, especially during important work.

Switched from : GoodAccess

Reason to switch : I moved to Astrill from GoodAccess since I wanted a VPN that prioritizes my privacy and security more. While GoodAcess was okay. Astrill gave better no-policy.

“Easy to Use but Speed Can Be an Issue”

Out of all the VPNs I have tried, Astrill is the most straightforward. Connecting to a server and changing settings is easy. One major benefit is that I never get lost or frustrated when using it. However, I have found that the speed occasionally decreases when I am gaming or streaming videos. This is mostly because certain servers have higher latency, which can be bothersome when using a lot of bandwidth.

Pros : Out of the few VPN solutions that I have tried, Astrill has the simplest interface. It made connecting to a server and changing settings so easy.

Cons : I sometimes experience a decrease in speed when I use high-bandwidth activities like video streaming and gaming. This is because some servers have a higher latency.

Switched from : Check Point Harmony SASE

Reason to switch : I moved to Astrill VPN since Check Point Harmony SASE was complicated and not as user-friendly as Astrill.

“Good for Bypassing Censorship but Lacks Crypto Payment Options”

One of the best things about Astrill VPN is how effectively it gets around censorship. I have had immense success using it to get access to websites like TikTok, Hulu, and other content that is prohibited in some places. Its inability to accept cryptocurrency payments, such as those made with Bitcoin or Ethereum, is a drawback.

Pros : I use it to bypass censorship. So far it has been effective in bypassing government censorship. I can access TikTok and Hulu and other blocked content in restrictive regions easily.

Cons : It has no cryptocurrency payment option. I like to use anonymous payment options, such as Bitcoin or Ethereum. This type of payment is not supported yet by Astrill.

Reason to switch : Nord Layer did not provide better access to restricted content and a smoother overall experience than Astrill VPN.

“Solid Security but Limited Device Support”

One of the things I truly value about Astrill VPN, which I have been using for some time, is the robust protection it provides. It is important to me that I feel secure when browsing because of the encryption and features like OpenWeb and IKEv2. I did, however, encounter a problem with device support.

Pros : It has strong security features. It has strong encryption and uses security features, like OpenWeb and IKEv2. This makes me feel safe when browsing or accessing sensitive data.

Cons : One of the drawbacks that affects me is that it has limited device support. I noticed that it does not support less common devices like my older laptop.

Switched from : Absolute Secure Access

Reason to switch : I wanted a solution that had stronger security features and better overall performance. ASA had okay protection but Astrill’s security features and speed won me over.

After using Astrill VPN for a while, I am impressed by how many servers it offers. The worldwide server network is beneficial, particularly when I need to get around limitations or acquire a speedier connection. The little duration of a few days is insufficient to thoroughly examine all its aspects and observe how effectively it functions in various situations.

Pros : It offers a wide range of server networks. The servers worldwide help me find the perfect server which has the performance to access specific content.

Cons : The free trial is for only a few days which does not properly let you grasp the functionalities and possibilities. It is not enough to fully test the service.

Reason to switch : OpenVPN had good features, but Astrill felt like a good fit for my needs with the ease of use and reliable performance.

“Great Speeds but Pricey”

After using Astrill VPN for some time. It functions well whether I am streaming or gaming, even when I connect to servers. The cost is the only drawback. Astrill VPN is more expensive than other services available, I occasionally hesitate to renew because it is undoubtedly on the pricey side.

Pros : It provides users with fast speeds. I have noticed that Astrill VPN has fast speeds, even when the servers are located far away. When I am gaming or streaming it is smooth.

Cons : I found it to be on the pricier side when compared to other services, this makes me think twice about renewing it. I wish it had not been so expensive.
