“Professional but Can Get Costly”

I like that Scribbr is designed for serious students and researchers like me, and it has a professional feel. Although it is thorough and dependable, the one-time fees really start to mount up if you use it frequently.

Pros : It has a professional feel to it where it feels like it is tailored for serious students, researchers, and professionals like me.

Cons : If I use it often the payments start adding up like I should have just subscribed to something else.

“Secure but Limited for Non-English Content”

I like that Scribbr protects my data. I feel at ease knowing that my work is not preserved or shared. When I am working on multilingual projects, it can be annoying because it does not function as well with non-English text.

Pros : I know that it is safe for my data since I know my work is not saved or shared. I do not want my stuff ending up where it should not.

Cons : It does not work well with non-English content as it has limited language support.

Reason to switch : iThenticate was great but I needed something that felt more secure for my academic and professional work.

“Clear Scoring but Missing Source Details”

I like that Scribbr provides an easily comprehensible percentage-based score. I can immediately determine what must be fixed thanks to it. Sometimes it can be a little annoying since it does not always indicate the source of a flagged source.

Pros : It has a percentage-based score which is easy to understand and it helps me focus on what needs fixing.

Cons : It does not always tell me exactly where a flagged source is from.

Switched from : Unicheck

Reason to switch : Unicheck was okay but I switched due to its reports feeling less intuitive and harder to work with.

“Easy to Use but a Bit Slow”

The Scribbr interface was easy to use. I never had any trouble navigating the menus or settings. But sometimes, especially when I am pressed for time, the checking procedure takes longer than I would like.

Pros : From my experience I found the interface user-friendly. I did not feel confused or got lost when I was trying to navigate through the settings and menu.

Cons : During the checking process it takes longer than I would like, especially when I am in a hurry.

Reason to switch : I wanted a more professional plagiarism checker and SEO Tools Centre could not deliver. Therefore, I switched to Scribbr.

I am really impressed by how many sources it checks against. From articles to books and web content. It is perfect for academic and professional use, but I wish there were a free trial or a basic version for casual users.

When I see unintentional overlaps in my writing and wish to change the way I phrase things, Scribbr is a huge help. It might improve the experience if it had some of the AI-powered feedback elements that other tools provide.

Pros : It is helpful when I want to tweak my phrasing after spotting accidental overlaps.

Cons : I wish it did have some of the AI-powered feedback features that other tools are offering.

Reason to switch : Scribbr gave me more accurate results and a clearer understanding of what needed fixing than Quetext.

“Accurate with Citations but Formatting Issues”

Scribbr's ability to identify citations and not mark correctly referenced sources is great. I save so much time because of it. But when I submit my work, I have noticed that some formatting is messed up.

Pros : I like how it recognizes citations. I do not get any false alarms for properly cited sources.

Cons : I notice that sometimes when I upload document it loses some formatting which is annoying.

Switched from : Turnitin Pro Plagiarism Checker ( Ai & Plagiarism )

Reason to switch : Turnitin used to flagged citations incorrectly and Scribbr was more accurate.
