“Fast Search but Needs More Editing Tools”

Notein saves me a great deal of time because I can locate whatever message I am looking for. Though I occasionally wish there were more advanced tools to structure my notes the way I want, the editing features are respectable.

Pros : I can find my notes quickly since the search function is super responsive.

Cons : Its editing features are decent, but sometimes I wish there were more advanced tools for formatting.

Reason to switch : Touchnotes was good, but Notein’s search function was exactly what I needed.

“Perfect for Collaboration but Requires a Newer Device”

Notein's collaborative function is one the best features. It makes it remarkably simple to share notes with friends or coworkers. I had to upgrade my phone to use the app, though, because it can be a little slow on earlier models.

Pros : The collaborative notes are a good feature since I share my notes with my friends or colleagues. It is also great for group projects or brainstorming.

Cons : Not the best if you have older devices. I had to upgrade my phone since it was laggy and not usable.

Reason to switch : Notein had better ability to share and work on notes with others in real time than Notewise.

“Perfect for Quick Formatting, But Misses Voice Notes”

I like how quickly Notein's Markdown allows me to format my notes. Making lists, headers, and adding photos is incredibly simple and quick. But occasionally I just want to quickly record my ideas rather than typing them out.

Pros : I like to format notes quickly and the Markdown makes this possible. It makes is easy to create lists, headings and even add images.

Cons : It does not provide voice note feature. This is a letdown since when I am lazy, I like to just voice note.

Switched from : GoodNotes

Reason to switch : GoodNotes was good, but Notein’s Markdown support and clean interface made it easier for me to format and organize my notes.

“Safe and Secure with Cloud Backup but Needs Reminder Features”

I like Notein's cloud backup feature because it gives me peace of mind to know that my notes are automatically backed up. Make task organization even simpler, I would really like it if there was an integrated reminder system.

Pros : There is cloud backup which means that I do not have to worry about losing notes since everything is backed up automatically.

Cons : I wish there were a built-in reminder system. It could use a way to set reminders or deadline with notes.

Reason to switch : I switched from Nebo since I wanted a more reliable cloud backup system for my notes.

“Tagging Made Easy but Syncing Could Be Faster”

Notein saves me a ton of time by making things easy to find. Overall, the syncing is excellent, however, occasionally there is a small lag while transferring between devices, which can be annoying.

Pros : I like how I can use the tagging system. Organizing my tags is smooth. It helps me find things quickly.

Cons : While it offers syncing that is great. However, sometimes there is a delay when switching between devices.

Reason to switch : I moved from Noteshelf since I needed a more streamlined way to organize my notes and tags.

“Great for Simplicity and Syncing but Lacks Export Options”

Notein's basic UI, which keeps everything straightforward and easy to use, has won me over. I do wish there were more export choices, though, so I could store my notes in other formats.

Pros : It has a minimalist and clean interface. There is no clutter and I can focus on writing and organizing.

Cons : There are not too many export options. I wish they had more formats to export my notes into.

Switched from : Microsoft OneNote

Reason to switch : I needed something cleaner and more streamlined, with better syncing so I switched to Notein.

“Great for Task List but Requires an Account”

I appreciate that Notein allows me to add checkboxes for tasks within my notes. But since the app is only a basic note-taking tool, I did not like that I had to register to use it.

Pros : It is nice to have checkboxes for to-dos inside my notes. The task lists help me stay on track.

Cons : It requires an account. I could not use the app without creating one. This feels unnecessary for a simple notetaking app.

Switched from : Flexcil

Reason to switch : I moved to Flexcil from Notein since I wanted something that made organizing my tasks easier within my notes.

“Great for Offline Access, But Lacks Customization”

I have no trouble continuing to write and go over my notes, even when I am traveling or in a place without internet. I do, however, wish there were other customization choices.

Pros : It offers convenient offline access. I can keep writing and reviewing my notes even when I am offline.

Cons : Some aspects of the app are not very customizable like the tool bar. They are set in stone and cannot be modified.

Switched from : Notability

Reason to switch : Although I miss the customization Notability offered, the offline feature of Notein made it worth the switch.

“Great Syncing but Takes Time to Learn”

The ease with which Notein syncs with all my devices is one of my favourite features. The only drawback is that I needed some time to become familiar with the advanced capabilities.

Pros : It can sync across all my devices effortlessly. Whether I am on my phone or laptop my notes are always coordinated.

Cons : The advanced features can be a little hard to grasp in the beginning. It could use more intuitive guides.

Switched from : Apple Notes

Reason to switch : I switched from Apple Notes to Notein because of it syncing and cross device functionality which was better than Apple’s.

“Personalized Themes, But Lacking Templates”

Writing feels much more intimate because I can alter the appearance to fit my mood. It would be wonderful to have additional alternatives for structuring my thoughts, though, and I do miss having more templates for project planning.

Pros : I like how I can customize themes. I can change the look to match my vibe, this makes writing feel more personal.

Cons : It does not have a lot of templates for structured notes or project planning.

Switched from : Squid

Reason to switch : Squid was great, but Notein theme customization was what I was looking for to make my notes more personal.
