“Great for Live User Feedback, but a Bit Clunky at Times”

I’ve been using Lookback to run user interviews for our mobile app. It’s amazing how much better we understand user problems when we can just watch them try to use the app. I like that I can talk to them during the session and ask why they clicked something. But a few testers struggled to get it running, especially if they weren’t very tech-savvy. Once it’s up and running, though, it’s a super powerful tool.

Pros : Lookback makes it super easy to watch how people use our product live. I love being able to ask questions while they’re testing. The video and audio quality is really clear.

Cons : Sometimes it’s hard to get users to join the session without tech issues. A few testers said it didn’t work well on their browser.

Reason to switch : I wanted something that let me interact with users in real time, which Maze didn’t really offer the way Lookback does.

“Solid Tool for Interviews, but Needs Better Mobile Support”

I use Lookback for almost every user test we run. It’s really handy to just send someone a link and start a session. We’ve used it for website and app feedback. But I do wish it worked better for mobile testing. Some testers couldn’t connect on iOS. Still, the ability to review sessions later and leave comments is great for collaboration.

Pros : The session recording works really well, and I can share the videos with my team easily. We save hours not having to take notes manually.

Cons : The mobile experience for participants isn’t great. Some users dropped out of the session because it wasn’t working on their phone.
