“Great for Managing Content, But Understand the Setup Process”
EVOQ CONTENT is a good option for managing web content. You can easily add, edit, or delete content from the front end, and the platform is flexible enough to integrate third-party tools. However, the initial configuration takes some time, and understanding all the components is key.
Pros : The EVOQ CONTENT platform allows you to manage web content directly from the front end, which makes things faster when making changes. It also integrates well with third-party components, giving us more flexibility with what we wanted to add to our website.
Cons : You need to understand the platform’s setup process, including configuration, which can be a bit tricky at first. It took us a while to get everything working as we wanted, but after that, it ran smoothly.
Reason to switch : We switched to EVOQ CONTENT because we wanted more control over our content and the ability to integrate additional tools as needed.

“Long-Lasting Platform with Great Security”
EVOQ CONTENT is a stable platform with strong security features, making it a good choice for multi-site setups and managing user roles. However, its older technology can be a limiting factor, especially for developers who want to use more modern tools.
Pros : EVOQ CONTENT has been around for quite a while, and it shows in its security features and flexible options for building websites. It’s also easy to manage multiple sites and user roles, which has been a big help for us.
Cons : The main issue is that EVOQ CONTENT is built on older WebForms technology, which feels outdated. Although they’re working on updating it, it’s still something that holds the platform back for developers.
Reason to switch : We chose EVOQ CONTENT because it’s more suited for managing multiple websites, even though we had to deal with the older technology.

“Easy Setup, But Tutorials Need Improvement”
Once EVOQ CONTENT is set up, it works well and is easy to manage. The biggest problem is the outdated tutorials, which made the installation process more difficult than it needed to be. After troubleshooting, everything worked fine, but the initial learning curve could be smoother.
Pros : The setup process for EVOQ CONTENT is pretty simple once you know what you’re doing, and everything works well after that. Managing users and troubleshooting issues is also pretty clear once you get the hang of it.
Cons : The official tutorials are a bit outdated, especially when setting up on certain environments like VMware Fusion. It would be better if they kept them updated because I had to rely on outside resources to finish the setup.
Reason to switch : We chose EVOQ CONTENT because it seemed easier to use for our specific environment, even though the tutorials weren’t much help at first.

“A Good Platform for Basic Websites”
Evoq was a step up from our previous platform in terms of handling basic websites. It gave us more room to grow and try out new features, which was a relief. However, the lack of communication from their team became a bit of a headache. It made us question whether we could rely on them for more complex tasks or larger projects in the future.
Pros : When we first started using DNN, it did what we needed. It allowed us to host and manage simple websites, which was better than the older system we were using. We could also add more functionalities that our previous CMS didn’t support. It served our needs at the time.
Cons : The biggest issue was dealing with the sales and support teams. It was difficult to get clear communication from them, which made using the platform more frustrating than it needed to be.
Reason to switch : We needed a platform that could do more than just the basics, but we also didn’t want to invest in something too big for our needs at the time. Evoq seemed like a middle-ground option.

“Offers Flexibility, But the Themes Are Lacking”
EVOQ CONTENT is great if you need a flexible platform that lets you swap out components. It’s well-suited for custom setups and offers plenty of modules and themes, although the design options feel a bit limited and can be more expensive.
Pros : EVOQ CONTENT’s flexibility is its strongest point. You can change and replace many components, including databases and HTML editors, without causing major issues. This allows for a lot of customization, especially if you have specific needs
Cons : I wish there were more attractive themes available. Compared to other platforms like WordPress, EVOQ CONTENT’s theme options seem pretty limited. Also, premium modules tend to be pricier than other CMS platforms.
Reason to switch : We moved to EVOQ CONTENT because we wanted more control over the backend and the ability to customize different parts of the platform, even if it meant spending more on modules and themes.

“EVOQ CONTENT – Great for Modular Systems.”
EVOQ CONTENT allows you to create modular systems quickly and securely. It’s especially good for web applications and projects where security is a concern. The downside is that you don’t get a lot of free extensions, which makes other CMS platforms seem more attractive when you’re on a budget.
Pros : I like how EVOQ CONTENT allows you to easily create systems like web portals or management information systems. It’s secure and has a simple structure, making it easy to handle once you get the hang of it.
Cons : One thing I didn’t like was the limited number of free modules. Compared to other platforms, EVOQ CONTENT doesn’t offer as many free add-ons, which means you might need to spend more money if you want extra features.
Switched from : Wordpress
Reason to switch : We chose EVOQ CONTENT because it offered more control over our system's security, even though we had to compromise on the number of free modules available.

“Packed with Features, But the UI Could Use an Update”
With EVOQ CONTENT, we got most of what we needed from the start, and adding new features with modules was straightforward.
Pros : EVOQ CONTENT comes with many features right out of the box, and you can extend its capabilities with third-party modules. This made it a great platform for our growing website needs. It's flexible enough to let us build what we want without needing to look for too many external tools.
Cons : The user interface feels outdated. It’s not the easiest to navigate right now, though I’ve heard they’re planning to update it soon.
Reason to switch : We moved to EVOQ CONTENT because we needed a platform that could offer more features without relying too much on external plugins or tools.

“Good for Adding Custom Modules, but Needs a Better Template Library”
EVOQ CONTENT has been helpful in allowing us to add custom modules to our website. It’s flexible enough for custom development, but the lack of pre-built templates makes it difficult if you’re looking for modern design options.
Pros : One of the things I like about EVOQ CONTENT is how easily we can add custom modules. This has helped us extend our website with additional features that we couldn’t find in other platforms.
Cons : The downside is the limited number of pre-built templates available. If you want something more modern or visually appealing, you’re often left creating it from scratch or paying for premium options.
Reason to switch : We moved to EVOQ CONTENT because we needed more flexibility for custom modules, even though we sacrificed the convenience of having a wide range of pre-built templates.

“Great for Specific Projects, but Can Be Redundant”
EVOQ CONTENT has been useful for various projects because of its wide range of features. However, when working on simpler tasks, it feels like some of the tools are redundant, making it more complicated than it needs to be at times.
Pros : EVOQ CONTENT is a versatile platform, and it works well for most web projects. It has plenty of features that you can use for various purposes, and it's easy to find ways to make it fit different needs.
Cons : The downside is that sometimes it feels like certain features overlap or are unnecessary for smaller projects. It can become a bit too much when you don’t need all the extras.
Switched from : Drupal
Reason to switch : We switched to EVOQ CONTENT because it seemed to be a better fit for mid-sized projects, but sometimes it feels like overkill for simpler tasks.

“Simple Interface for Database Management, but Some Features Are Hard to Find”
EVOQ CONTENT offers a simple interface that makes database management straightforward. However, the platform could improve on making troubleshooting options easier to find. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it adds unnecessary steps when trying to resolve issues.
Pros : I really like how easy it is to set up and configure databases with EVOQ CONTENT. The interface is simple, and it doesn’t require a lot of back-and-forth to get things up and running.
Cons : The downside is that not all troubleshooting options are easy to locate. It took me longer than expected to find what I was looking for, which was a bit inconvenient.
Reason to switch : We picked EVOQ CONTENT because it offered an easier way to manage databases and didn’t require as much backend work as our previous platform.
