“Great Customer Report but Could Use More Customization”

Crossplag's customer service representatives have been great. They have always been helpful and quick to answer when I have concerns or problems. I do, however, wish there were further ways to personalize the report format.

Pros : I have experienced great customer support. Whenever I have had questions or issues, their customer support team has been helpful and responsive.

Cons : I would like to have more options to customize the report format, like changing the layout or adding custom annotations.

Switched from : iThenticate Plagiarism

Reason to switch : iThenticate did not offer the same level of support and I found Crossplag to be more user friendly and suited for my needs.

“Fast Results but UI Can be Glitchy”

I have found Crossplag to be a great time-saver. When I need to review several documents in a brief period. But occasionally, I have discovered that the user interface glitches.

Pros : It saves me a lot of time when I am on tight schedule since I do not have to wait long for the results.

Cons : Sometimes I notice that the UI glitches from time to time.

Reason to switch : I switched from Plagiarism Checker X to Crossplag for Crossplag’s faster results which really helped when I was under time pressure.

“Cloud-Based Convenience but Lacks Algorithm Transparency”

The fact that Crossplag is cloud-based is great since it allows me to view my reports from any location. Their lack of transparency regarding the operation of their algorithms, particularly about establishing the plagiarism threshold is a drawback.

Pros : I like that it is cloud based since I can access my reports from anywhere. It is great when working remotely.

Cons : They are not transparent about algorithms. I wish they were more transparent especially in terms of how they determine the plagiarism threshold.

Reason to switch : Crossplag gave me more flexibility and I liked how I could easily check reports from anywhere without being tied to a specific device or location.

When I am working with materials written in languages other than English, it is perfect. One drawback is that, unlike some other plagiarism detectors, it lacks built-in facilities for rephrasing information that has been identified.

Pros : It offers multiple language support which is great when I am working with documents in languages other than English.

Cons : It does not offer tools to edit or rephrase flagged content in the platform itself unlike its competitors.

Reason to switch : Duplichecker was good, but it did not offer the same flexibility when dealing with non-English documents.

“Detailed Reports but Limited Database for Niche Content”

I like how thorough Crossplag's reports are. It makes it simple to determine what needs to be fixed by highlighting the locations of the similarities. It occasionally overlooks kinds of content since it does not always go as deeply into specialized databases.

Pros : The reports are detailed to show exactly where the similarities are which makes it easier to understand what needs to be fixed.

Cons : It has limited database for certain types of content. Even though it covers a lot of sources, sometimes it does not go as deep into niche databases.

Reason to switch : I switched from Quetext to Crossplag since the reports are more detailed in Crossplag.

I really like how Crossplag supports multiple file types like PDFs and Word documents. However, the free version only offers the basics, and to unlock all the features, you’ll need to pay for the full version.

Pros : It supports multiple file types. The fact that it supports multiple file types like PDFs, Word docs is great. I do not have to worry about file compatibility.

Cons : The free version does not offer too much, only the basics. It is necessary to pay to use the full features.

My workflow is much more efficient thanks to Crossplag for connecting with the other platforms I use. More instructional materials, such as manuals or videos, would be helpful particularly for inexperienced users. I had to do some trial and error before I finally understood it.

Pros : It provides seamless integration with other platforms I use. This makes my workflow smoother.

Cons : It could use more educational resources like guides and tutorials for beginners, so it can take a bit of trial and error to get a hang of it.

Reason to switch : DrillBit was good, but Crossplag offered better overall experience in terms of workflow.

CheckForPlag has been fantastic for team collaboration. It helps ensure consistency and makes plagiarism checks easy for all of us. However, I do get a little concerned about uploading sensitive work.

Pros : I like how accurate Crossplag is when it comes to identifying plagiarism. It scans through a wide range of sources.

Cons : The subscription can be pricey, especially if you are on a budget. It is not the most affordable tool out there.
