“Smooth Performance but Limited Device Coverage”

Bitdefender runs great for me. When I am multitasking and quietly runs in the background and does not slow down my computer. I can trust it too keep my system safe while I work. The only drawback is that the basic plan only covers one device.

Pros : It has a fast performance, when I am working it runs quietly in the background and my computer does not show any signs of slowness or lag, even when I am multi-tasking.

Cons : It has a lack of multi-device options at the base price, I wish the standard plan could cover more than one device.

Switched from : ESET PROTECT

Reason to switch : ESET PROTECT made my system lag sometimes during the scans, which was frustrating while working on multiple tasks. Bitdefender’s smooth and lightweight designed did it for me.

“Fast Updates for New Threats”

I am impressed with how quickly Bitdefender Antivirus Plus updates its virus database. It makes me feel confident that my computer is safe from potential threats. The only downside is that it has limited email protection.

Pros : It really updates fast; I like how quickly it updates its virus database to protect against the latest threats. This makes me feel safe since I know that future threats cannot corrupt my computer.

Cons : It has very limited email protection, I wish it had better email security features integrated, like more advanced spam filtering.

Switched from : SentinelOne Singularity

Reason to switch : SentinelOne Singularity updates were irregular and left me worried about future threats. Bitdefender had fast updates and made me feel safe.

“Solid Customer Support but Pricey Renewals”

The fact that Bitdefender’s customer support is available 24/7 and always ready to help is much appreciated. However, I was surprised by how much the renewal cost increases after the first year. The initial price was great, but the renewal fee was annoying.

Pros : I found that Bitdefender’s customer support was awesome. Whenever I had a query or wanted some help, they were always helpful and online 24/7 which is a big plus.

Cons : I don’t know why the renewal price is so high, the first year’s price was great, but the renewal cost is noticeably higher which is kind of annoying.

Switched from : FortiClient

Reason to switch : I switched from FortiClient since their customer support was slow and not as helpful as Bitdefender’s.

“Secure VPN is a Plus but Setup Takes Time”

It is great for protecting my privacy and even bypassing restrictions on streaming sites. However, when I first installed it, I found the many options a bit confusing and took me a while to set everything up.

Pros : VPN is included, it is secure and is handy for privacy-conscious users. It is also for bypassing some streaming sites if it is unavailable in your country.

Cons : When I first installed it, I found there were so many options and features that it took me some time to customize everything into my liking.

Switched from : Sophos Intercept

Reason to switch : I moved from Sophos Intercept since it lacked a built-in VPN and did not meet my needs for online privacy.

It is a great choice for basic protection and the price feels fair for the features it offers. It is reliable in keeping my computer safe. However, as a parent, I wish the plan came with parental controls.

Pros : For basic protection, I find it very affordable since the license feels fair for what it offers.

Cons : Being a parent, I feel like for a premium product it can get frustrating since there is no parental control include in this level.

Reason to switch : K7 Antivirus was missing advanced features like anti-phishing and secure browsing which I found in Bitdefender.

“Surprising Extra but Features felt limited”

I did not expect to find a password manager in Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, but it turned out to be a useful tool for keeping my accounts secure. I feel that they are holding some features back to push their pricier plans to the users.

Pros : A very unexpected feature that I would come to like is the password manger, at first, I did not expect it to include it. Now it has been useful for keeping my accounts secure.

Cons : I personally feel that they hold back some features to upsell their more expensive plans and products.

“Amazing Threat Detection”

I have noticed that Bitdefender Antivirus Plus rarely flags files and programs as threats, which is a big improvement over my previous antivirus. Saves me the hassle of constantly checking. The basic version however lacks ransomware protection.

Pros : The good thing I have seen in this software when compared to my previous one is that it rarely flags my files as threats. This is good since I do not have to worry about my programs or files being unsafe.

Cons : While I was using the basic version, I found out that it lacks full ransomware protection. I feel like if it could do more to protect against sophisticated ransomware threats without upgrading.

Switched from : CrowdStrike Falcon

Reason to switch : I moved from CrowdStrike Falcon since it was too aggressive with false positives, marking many of my files as unsafe.

“Safe and Reliable”

It has been a great experience using Bitdefender Antivirus Plus. It is super reliable at catching viruses and malware and I feel safe while browsing the internet. The only downside is that the VPN has a daily limit for when I need to browse securely for a long time.

Pros : I find Bitdefender to have great malware protection and love how reliable it is at detecting and removing viruses and malware. I find it comfortable how I can browse the internet knowing it will be safe.

Cons : The integrated VPN has a daily limit which can feel restrictive if I need secure browsing for longer sessions.

Switched from : ThreatDown

Reason to switch : ThreatDown was constantly flagging safe programs as threats, which can be annoying. Bitdefender met my requirements and identified the real issues.

“Use-Friendly Design but Not for Mac Users”

Bitdefender Antivirus Plus has a clean and simple layout that is easy to understand. Even though I am not very experienced with antivirus software, I could figure out the settings quickly. The downside is that it does not support macOS, which can be frustrating since I primarily use Mac.

Pros : I find the layout to be clean and easy to go through. Even for someone like me I who is new to antivirus software I could easily figure out the settings and the functionality.

Cons : It is disappointing that the plan does not support macOS. As a Mac user at heart, I feel like they should try to reach out to other operating systems.

Switched from : Webroot Business Endpoint

Reason to switch : The interface was confusing and hard to go through while using Webroot Business Endpoint. Bitdefender felt much more user-friendly.
