“Perfect for CD Ripping”

It is nostalgic and useful for creating backups or sharing music with friends, which is why I started using Ashampoo Music Studio to rip audio CDs and burn compilations into discs. However, because the software does not allow more complicated, multi-track projects, I have found that it falls short when I try to work on them.

Pros : My favorite thing about Ashampoo Music Studio is that I can easily rip my audio CDs or burn compilations into discs which is nostalgic and practical at the same time for physical backups.

Cons : My ability to work on more advanced projects gets limited due to the software not being able to support complex multi-track editing.

Switched from : Bitwig Studio

Reason to switch : I switched from Bitwig Studio because I needed a simpler tool for basic tasks and CD burning. Bitwig was great for advanced projects, but it felt too complicated for what I needed at the time.

“Great Value for the Price”

Because Ashampoo Music Studio is more reasonably priced and provides better value than many other music editing programs, I choose to get it. For my simple editing needs, it has worked well. But after two months of use, updates are infrequent and that some flaws can persist longer than I would want.

Pros : I purchased it due to its affordable price when comparing it with other music editing software, it is priced and offers more value that its actual cost.

Cons : I have been using it for two months now, and I feel like the updates rarely come and for the most part, some bugs and issues remain unresolved for a while.

Switched from : LMMS Audio Editor

Reason to switch : I needed a simpler and more affordable solution; therefore, I moved away from LMMS. Even though LMMS is free and strong, it seemed too complicated for my purposes, and I wanted something simpler for my side musical endeavours.

“Handy Tag Editor”

I like Ashampoo Music Studio's "Tag Editor" because it allows me to change metadata and maintain an orderly, accessible music library. The recording capability is simple and lacks sophisticated features that other DAWs provide, such as multi-input recording or live effect application.

Pros : It is a small feature but a unique and thoughtful one, the “Tag Editor” enables me to update metadata, which keeps my music library well-organized and easily accessible.

Cons : It has a basic recording feature nothing special, it lacks advanced settings such as multi-input recording or live effect application, unlike other DAWs.

Switched from : FL Studio

Reason to switch : I wanted a more straightforward tool with decent organizing tools; therefore, I moved away from FL Studio. FL Studio was excellent for intricate projects, but I did not want that degree of intricacy for managing my music library daily.

“Great for Beginners”

Ashampoo Music Studio's user-friendly design made it simple for me to get the swing of it when I first started using it. I was new to audio editing, so I liked how easy it was to convert audio files to various formats and trim and mix songs. It does, however, seem to lack several sophisticated editing features that I would have liked as I gained more expertise.

Pros : It has a user-friendly interface that is straightforward and easy to navigate, which makes it perfect for beginners like me who just want to casually try out something new.

Cons : Even though it is great for basic editing I feel that it does not offer the depth of features in other more professional software.

Switched from : Bespoke Synth

Reason to switch : I needed something more straightforward and user-friendly than Bespoke Synth, so I moved to Ashampoo Music Studio. I wanted an application that was more appropriate for simple music editing tasks and did not overburden me with technical information.

“Best for Basic Use”

Because of its assortment of tools for cutting, mixing, and normalizing files, Ashampoo Music Studio has proven to be a reliable option for my music editing. With the help of these features, I was able to easily refine my projects and achieve the sound I desired. However, I occasionally observed slight latency and crashes when working with larger files, which could be annoying during extended editing sessions.

Pros : I really like that it had comprehensive audio editing tools such as cutting, mixing, and normalizing tracks which helped me in fine-tuning my music seamlessly.

Cons : Every now and then I would sometimes experience minor crashes and lag when it comes to handling larger files.

Switched from : Logic Pro

Reason to switch : I wanted a less expensive program for basic modifications, so I moved from Logic Pro to Ashampoo Music Studio. I needed something simpler because Logic Pro was too complex for my side musical endeavors.

“No Streaming Integration but Good Volume Control”

Because Ashampoo Music Studio's seamless volume adjustment capabilities let me alter the volume without sacrificing sound quality, I like using it. Sharing my music is made more difficult by the fact that I am unable to export or share my projects straight to streaming services, which is a disappointment.

Pros : Ashampoo Music Studio has one of the smoothest volume adjustment tools since I can adjust the volume of my music simply without losing the sound quality of the audio.

Cons : I really dislike the fact that it has no integration with streaming services so I cannot export or directly share my projects to popular streaming platforms.

Switched from : Reaper

Reason to switch : I left Reaper because I wanted a more straightforward application that prioritized basic editing and quick volume adjustments. Although Reaper was strong, it was too complicated for the easier jobs I required.

“Wonderful Playlist Organization”

Ashampoo Music Studio makes it easier for me to create playlists for different occasions, and it also helps to organize my music library. However, after learning all the basics, I found that the software is more difficult to use than I had anticipated.

Pros : I like how organized its playlist creation and management are, I create playlists for separate occasions and events, and all of them are kept in my music library.

Cons : It seemed simple at first, but as soon as I reached a plateau, I realized I would need to spend some time learning how to use some of the more complex features.

Switched from : Ableton Live

Reason to switch : I needed a simpler program to organize my playlists and do some basic editing, so I moved away from Ableton Live. Ableton Live was overly complicated for easy jobs and had more capabilities than I needed.

“Audio Extraction at its Finest”

Ashampoo Music Studio makes it so easy to extract audio, this simplifies the process of translating videos into audio tracks or making soundtracks. The fact that it does not enable MIDI editing is a drawback, as I use MIDI instruments to make music, which is a major problem for me.

Pros : I can easily extract audio from video comfortably, which is a helpful feature for creating soundtracks or converting videos into audio tracks alone.

Cons : It does not have any MIDI editing possibilities, since I compose music and work with MIDI instruments this is a huge drawback.

Switched from : GarageBand

Reason to switch : I needed a program that was simpler to use for simple tasks like audio extraction, so I moved from GarageBand. Although GarageBand is fantastic, it was too much for me and lacked basic functionality for converting videos to audio.

“Quick File Conversions but Limited Effects”

Ashampoo Music Studio's ability to convert files quickly and easily between MP3, WAV, and FLAC is something I truly appreciate. For easy chores, it has proven to be dependable. But the effects library seems constrained, and I frequently wish there were more imaginative filters and choices for giving my projects a distinctive look.

Pros : The fact that it supports multiple audio formats and that converting files between MP3, WAV, FLAC, and more is simple and not as time-consuming as other software.

Cons : There is not much variety when it comes to the effects library since the range of audio and filters is basic and I sometimes wish that there were more creative options available.

Switched from : Adobe Audition for teams

Reason to switch : I needed a more straightforward and affordable solution for basic audio conversion and editing, so I moved away from Adobe Audition. I did not require all of Adobe Audition's sophisticated features for my light usage.

“Time-Saving Batch Processing”

Ashampoo Music Studio's batch processing capability is one of my favourite features. When I need to edit or convert several audio files at once, it saves me a ton of time. It is annoying, though, since I cannot use it on my Mac, which makes it less practical for people like me who switch between operating systems.

Pros : When I need to edit or convert multiple files at the same time its batch processing feature saves me a lot of time since it helps me process data and audio in a short amount of time.

Cons : I have a mac laptop where I can not use it, which is an inconvenience for those people who work across different operating systems like me.

Switched from : Ardour

Reason to switch : Although Ardour is strong, it seemed a little too complicated for my daily needs. I needed a more straightforward tool with better batch processing for small tasks.
