To reduce dwg file size, detach all unnecessary files by the XREF command. Then select all objects in a drawing and specify the OVERKILL command. Now enter the -PURGE command and select Regapps. Afterwards specify the PURGE command and click on all options. Lastly enter the -SCALELISTEDIT command and reset the scale list.
