In Lightworks, the aspect ratio of both video and still images can be changed by adjusting the playback format. To do this follow the steps given below:
Video
- Right click on the sequence you're editing
- Click on the Playback format
- To alter the aspect ratio of your editing window, choose the portrait option from the drop-down menu
- For example, a 16:9 footage can be changed to a 9:16 portrait by selecting the portrait option
Still images
- Open Lightworks and drag an image into the timeline to copy the aspect ratio and size
- Press on the Metadata tab
- Alter the aspect ratio.
