New Delhi: As Indians, we take this moment of pride for becoming the first country to ever reach in the southern polar region of lunar surface in one piece. Team Techjockey congratulates the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and all the fellow citizens on India’s successful Chandrayaan-3 accomplishment.
India’s moon lander, on Wednesday, safely touched the lunar soil, becoming fourth nation in the world to achieve the feat. The lander travelled about 3.84 lakh KMs for over 40 days.
The Chandrayaan 3 spacecraft touched down the moon surface at 8:34 AM E.T.
Saying that India will remember this day forever, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was watching the live stream of the event, congratulated ISRO and the country people. He said, “All the people of the world, the people of every country and region: India’s successful moon mission is not just India’s alone … this success belongs to all of humanity.”
India previously attempted a lunar south pole landing in September 2019, but a software failure caused the Chandrayaan-2 mission to crash into the surface.
