Techjockey celebrated World Blood Donor Day on 14th June, by conducting a blood donation drive, organized by the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team, Helping Aid Club, and the PeopleOps team in collaboration with Guru Nanak Dev Charitable Blood Centre.

This initiative aims to make a significant impact on the lives of those in need while promoting the spirit of giving within the organization. The lab arrangements were made in two separate rooms allocated for this purpose.

Everyone in the office was eagerly looking forward to the event as there were many employees who excitedly volunteered for the campaign. The event started at 11.30 am with a complete medical background check of the candidates who were willing to donate blood.

The doctors first examined the Haemoglobin by taking a small blood sample, after which the blood pressure was checked. The doctors thoroughly questioned the medical history of the employees. Only those volunteers were permitted to donate whose medical checks yielded positive results.

As candidates donated blood, refreshments were put in line to re-energize the donors and ward off any dizziness, which might be the result of the donation. All the donors were given important guidelines by the doctors, and they were also instructed to stay hydrated properly. Later, goodies were given to all the candidates.

We are incredibly proud of the collaborative effort between the CSR team, the Helping Aids Club, and the PeopleOps team to organize this blood donation drive. By participating in this noble cause, Techjockey’s employees are coming together to make a difference in the lives of others. We firmly believe that our collective efforts can bring hope and healing to those in need.

Asheet Makhija, Executive Vice President, expressed his enthusiasm

A certificate was also presented to each donor which is also a Donor’s Card. This Donor’s Card could be used by these employees for receiving blood from the blood bank for their loved ones in any emergency. They could use this certificate at any time throughout their lifetime, in case of emergency.

Furthermore, a complete blood report containing pointers like HIV, HBsAg, HCV, VDR, etc. would be provided to all the donors in a week on their phones.

The event ended successfully in the evening. All donors had triumphant smiles on their faces with contentment in their hearts for contributing to the welfare of society.

The collaboration between the CSR team, the Helping Aids Club, and the PeopleOps team underscores Techjockey’s dedication to fostering a culture of compassion, empathy, and collective action within the organization. By joining forces, these teams aim to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and contribute to the betterment of society.

Techjockey has always been committed to social causes and has actively engaged in various corporate social responsibility initiatives. This blood donation drive is an extension of its ongoing efforts to give back to the community and support healthcare institutions in their life-saving endeavors. The initiative reflects Techjockey’s core values of empathy, social responsibility, and teamwork.
