Tata Technologies has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT Hyderabad for collaboration in the fields of Software Defined Vehicles (SDV) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The collaboration will collaborate will focus upon creating solutions to address the issues of incubation time and cost faced by organizations during the development of SDVs with the latest technologies.
The collaboration between them will focus upon platform development and Proofs of Concept (POC) for optimizing any product development cycle. Further, it will also focus upon providing hands-on training to Tata engineers at IIT Hyderabad in the latest technological fields.
Warren Harris, MD, CEO of Tata Technologies stated, “Through this collaboration with TiHAN, IIT Hyderabad, we aim to collaborate and support innovations in the area of SDVs and associated technologies that help automotive manufacturers develop and manufacture great products.”
President and CTO of Tata Technologies stated that they will use their expertise and resources for exploring the different use cases for SDVs. This will include incorporating modern System on Chips (SoCs), AI, machine learning, etc., for this purpose and connected technologies in field of software defined vehicles.
Prof P Rajalakshmi, Project Director, Dept. of Electrical Engineering at IIT said that this collaboration will focus on improving the various mobility solutions like ADAS and SDVs.
