Shopblocks Raises £1.5 Million to Dominate the B2B E-commerce Sector

Shopblocks, an online store-building platform, has successfully secured over £1.5 million in funding to solidify its position in the business-to-business (B2B) ecommerce market. This UK-based platform streamlines the process of creating an online store, making it significantly faster compared to traditional website development.

Their platform utilizes a ‘no code’ approach, offering a collection of building blocks that can be quickly assembled to construct a fully functional website.

Shopblocks is not just a DIY platform; they also offer the option of having their team build the website on behalf of the client and provide ongoing support. The company currently employs 35 individuals and boasts more than 2,000 customers, including well-known names like Toshiba, Daisy Telecom, and Tower Housewares. Their annual recurring revenue surpasses £1 million, in addition to project fees.

With this recent funding, Shopblocks has raised a total of over £3.5 million. This financial boost will enable them to create ten new job opportunities immediately, enhance their platform further, and attract more substantial B2B-focused clients.

Stewart Reynolds, the co-founder and Chief Customer Officer, emphasized the challenge that many B2B-focused brands face when transitioning to ecommerce. Approximately 40 percent of such brands have yet to adopt online selling due to the complexities involved. Shopblocks aims to address this issue and expand its services to become a £50 million turnover business.
