New Delhi: In an update from Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas, the company has introduced a set of innovative patient management tools for its Exa RIS Workflow Platform. It has leveraged technology from ImagineSoftware, a renowned provider of revenue optimization solutions.
One of the key additions is the AI-driven ‘Exa Connect’, which autonomously scans radiology report recommendations to identify patients in need of further care. Subsequently, it creates a notification in the Exa RIS to alert patients and the suggested follow-up healthcare team. This streamlines the process of identifying and addressing patient needs.
Additionally, the new ‘Exa Clear’ Authorization feature performs automated reviews of a patient’s radiology profile. This includes new imaging orders and multiple payer profiles, to determine if prior authorization from the patient’s healthcare provider is necessary.
By streamlining this approval process, it aims to prevent delays, exam rescheduling, and potential revenue loss. This efficiency enhancement allows radiology staff to focus on exceptional cases, as it automates data entry.
Furthermore, Konica Minolta has announced the full functionality of ‘Exa Cloud’ with Amazon Web Services, enabling the hosting of the Exa Platform in the public cloud. This move signifies enhanced accessibility and scalability for the Exa Platform, leveraging the capabilities of Amazon Web Services.
In short, all these developments represent a significant advancement in patient management and operational efficiency within the healthcare industry.
