Jio Collaborates with Nvidia to Create AI Cloud Infrastructure in India

New Delhi: Jio Platforms, announced on Friday that it is teaming up with Nvidia to make cloud based artificial intelligence (AI) compute framework to expand India’s status in the global Al space.

This new Al cloud framework will allow developers, researchers, AI practitioners, and others all over India to gain access to high-speed and secure system which will help in executing workloads carefully and with maximum energy efficiency.

Nvidia stated that the companies will be working together to create AI infrastructure which will be more impressive than the fastest supercomputer present in India. Nvidia will introduce the forefront Nvidia GH200 Grace Hopper Superchip and Nvidia DGX Cloud, an AI supercomputing service in the cloud. The AI framework will be housed in AI-ready data centers, which will expand to 2,000 MW. The execution and fulfillment of this will be handled by Jio.

Chief Executive Jensen Huang at Nvidia said that the company is delighted to collaborate with Reliance to build modern AI supercomputers in India. With the most advanced Al computing infrastructure, Reliance will be able to make its own large-scale language models to power India-made generative Al applications for the population of India.

This collaboration will create a state-of-the-art AI cloud infrastructure that is secure, dependable, and deeply connected across India, accelerating India’s journey to become an AI superpower.

Jio Platforms will lead efforts to develop India-specific AI models and AI-based solutions across various domains to provide the benefits of AI to everyone in India. Al will be the new frontier of Jio growth.
