Cruz, a tech company based in Santa Cruz, has just secured a significant investment from former Apple executive Jony Ive. This infusion of funds will support the production of their innovative product, BlenderCap, and pave the way for the launch of new offerings in the upcoming year.
BlenderCap is a groundbreaking cordless blender that comes with a vacuum-insulated bottle, introducing a fresh and convenient method for creating shakes, smoothies, frozen drinks, or blended coffee—all while keeping your beverages at the desired temperature throughout the day.
This remarkable product made its debut at CES 2023 and utilizes state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery technology, capable of blending an entire week’s worth of drinks on a single charge. What’s more, Cruz has thoughtfully designed BlenderCap to fit most wide-mouth bottles, including popular brands like HydroFlask and ThermoFlask, making any favorite bottle a portable blender in an instant.
Matthew Moore, Cruz’s co-founders said, “This pivotal investment will help move us forward in our battle against poor-quality, plastic products. We are committed to raising the bar on what consumers can expect, and proving that high-end craftsmanship and manufacturing is possible for the mass market.”
Joining Jony Ive in this funding round are other industry pioneers, including former Apple Vice President Nick Forlenza and former eBay CEO Devin Wenig. With Moore and his Co-founder Dakota Adams both honed their design, manufacturing, and supply chain expertise during their tenures at Apple, where they contributed to the original Apple Watch and various iPhone components.
For those interested in getting their hands on the BlenderCap, it’s available for purchase at BlenderCap.com for $129. And for a limited time, shoppers can snag a complimentary 34 oz. clear bottle with their purchase.
