BigCommerce Introduces a Portal to Simplify B2B Invoice Payment Process

BigCommerce has recently introduced a B2B Edition Invoice Portal, aiming to modernize the invoicing process for large B2B suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers. This portal integrates invoice payments into an online purchasing workflow, providing a seamless invoice payment experience.

The shift from offline to online orders has posed a major obstacle in B2B eCommerce. However, the Invoice Portal tackles this issue by enabling buyers to conveniently access and settle all their invoices online, thereby promoting the adoption of B2B eCommerce.

The Invoice Portal offers several advantages for B2B buyers. It enables them to pay multiple invoices for both online and offline orders, eliminating manual payment methods and enhancing the transaction experience.

Furthermore, it simplifies the payment process by replacing legacy processes with a connected experience, streamlining payment reconciliation with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and improving operational efficiency for back-office teams.

Additionally, the Invoice Portal accelerates transaction times, potentially improving cash flow and reducing the risk of late payments. This launch follows the release of BigCommerce’s B2B Edition, offering a suite of B2B functionalities, including Multi-Storefront compatibility, a modernized B2B buyer portal, and headless support.

BigCommerce has achieved remarkable financial results, with total revenue exceeding $75 million. Subscription revenue has grown by 10% year over year, while partner and services revenue have increased by 14% in the recent quarter. The Invoice Portal supports BigCommerce’s dedication to improving B2B eCommerce experiences and fostering business expansion.
