A SaaS and B2B tech focused investment firm Avataar Venture Partners has appointed Anirudh Singh, the former Managing Director Alpha Wave Global as its third general partner. As a part of the new role, Singh’s responsibility will be to focus on growth stage B2B investments and overall management of the VC firm.
On his appointment, Anirudh Singh said, “The Indian economy is at an inflection point, at the cusp of an opportunity in the technology ecosystem. Having worked closely with Mohan (Kumar) for more than a decade at Norwest Venture Partners and otherwise, I see an alignment in our vision for Avataar Venture Partners (AVP) as an investment platform as well as a platform to support entrepreneurs operationally.”
This major announcement comes soon after Avataar launched its latest fund with a target corpus of about $350 million to focus on global SaaS and B2B Tech in October last year.
During his last stint at Alpha Wave, Anirudh was focused on early to late-stage investments spanning across India and South East Asia. Prior to that, he was associated as principal at B Capital Group, and as an investor at Norwest Venture Partners!
