3. Drag and drop the effect onto your clip.
4. Adjust effect properties in the Effect Controls panel.

In Lightworks, the aspect ratio of both video and still images can be changed by adjusting the playback format. To do this follow the steps given below:

Video

• Right click on the sequence you're editing
• Click on the Playback format
• To alter the aspect ratio of your editing window, choose the portrait option from the drop-down menu
• For example, a 16:9 footage can be changed to a 9:16 portrait by selecting the portrait option

Still images

• Open Lightworks and drag an image into the timeline to copy the aspect ratio and size
• Press on the Metadata tab
• Alter the aspect ratio.

Go to VFX tab or right-click video track > Effects > Add > Titles.

Drag Titles to your video track.

Click the text box and type your content.

Drag the text box in the preview to position it.

Adjust text duration by dragging the edges of the text clip in the timeline.
