“Great for Learning, but Overkill for Simple Edits”

Adobe Audition has a good community and tutorials are found anywhere. This is what made me learn the software much faster. But honestly. It is too complex if you are just looking for quick edits.

Pros : I like how Adobe really offers a lot of learning resources, from tutorials to community forums. It is great when I need help or want to improve my skills.

Cons : If you just want to use a software for simple editing and quick edits, Audition feels like an overkill. It is too complex for a simple job.

Switched from : WavePad Audio Editing Software

Reason to switch : WavaPad was not as professional for larger projects. Audition however offered everything I needed to take my audio editing to the next level.

“Real-Time Effects Are a Big Win”

Being able to hear effects before applying them has saved me from making mistakes so many times. The audition real-time preview feature smoothly executes this. It is not great for video editing, so I still rely on Premier Pro for that.

Pros : I like how I can hear how the effect will sound before applying it, which allows me to prevent mistakes. This is all thanks to the amazing real-time preview of Audition.

Cons : Although Audition integrates with Premiere Pro, it is not an ideal software for video editing. You will need to jump to Premiere Pro if you want to make any major edits to to video content.

Switched from : Sound Forge Pro

Reason to switch : SoundForge did not have integration capabilities with most Adobe products. Audition works with Premiere Pro and makes workflow a lot smoother.

“Precise Editing Tool but Crashes Occasionally”

The Spectral Frequency Display in Adobe Audition is a game-changer for me. It helps me remove or isolate noise or sounds that I would miss with a regular waveform. However, it slows down my progress due to the unexpected crashes.

Pros : My favorite feature of the Audition is the Spectral Frequency Display for precise editing. It is perfect for isolating sounds in a busy mix or finding unwanted noise that you can miss in the regular waveform.

Cons : Even though most of the time it is stable, I have experienced occasional crashes when dealing with large projects or when applying effects simultaneously. I always get frustrated when losing progress unexpectedly.

Switched from : Studio One

Reason to switch : Studio One did not have the advanced restoration tools, and I was sold on Auditions spectral editing features.
