Employee attrition is when employees leave an organization and are replaced slowly, or not replaced immediately.

The employee cannot see the sign-in option in the ESS portal due to two possible reasons: either the employee is not enrolled in the leave scheme or has not been assigned to any shift.

Form U contains the names of those people who occupy the positions of classified character in an establishment.

To declare an employee's LTA (Leave Travel Allowance), the admin should follow the steps given below:

• Go to the greytHR Admin portal
• Click on Payroll
• From the dropdown, select Payroll Inputs
• Then, choose Income Tax
• On the Income Tax page, use the search box to find the employee by name or number
• After the details are displayed, click on the Exemptions tab to expand it
• Look for the Other Exemptions section and select the LTA Exemption
• Enter the required LTA amount in the provided spin box
• Click on Save to declare the LTA

A split shift refers to a shift-work schedule that divides a person's workday into two or more parts.

A weekly off refers to any day of the week when employees are not required to work. In India, many organizations with desk jobs commonly offer Saturdays and Sundays as their weekly off.

To penalize employees for missing attendance, follow these steps:

• Access Settings and then Time & Attendance
• Navigate to the Tracking Policies tab
• Click on the Edit icon next to the relevant policy name
• Use the setup wizard to configure penalty options for missing attendance in Section 1 – Missing Attendance.

Gross Hours are the total hours assigned in a shift. Effective Hours are the time that is left from the gross hours after taking out the employee's break time

So Gross Hours= Total shift and Effective Hours= Gross Hours- Break Time
