Delhi Police has integrated its licensing services with DigiLocker

This will help citizens to keep their licenses including eating & lodging, and arms, in the digital format in DigiLocker app going forward. The Delhi Police issues licenses for swimming pools, auditoriums, and arms, among others. 

Talking about this new initiative, Sanjay Singh, Special Commissioner, Licensing and Legal Division said, “Enforcing agencies too will have an authentic source for verification of such licenses.” After being the first state to introduce arm licenses in smart card format, Delhi, with this new integration of licensing services has become the first to be integrated with DigiLocker.

In early April, Delhi Police Commissioner had given his approval for making all the licenses and certificates issued by the licensing unit of the Police to be made accessible on DigiLocker. 

An initiative of the Union ministry of electronics and information technology (MeitY), DigiLocker aims to provide a digital wallet to every citizen to access all documents and certificates anytime anywhere from their sources or issuing organizations conveniently!
